Habitat

Beneath oak tree in mixed woodland, mostly Conifer. Other parts of the woodland are chestnut coppice with the odd oak.

Notes

White with a lemony tinge to cap. Bulbous base 

Differentiators

Persistent ring remaining attached to stem

Off-white remnants of universal veil

Volva creates trough around the bulbous base

It did smell of potatoe whereas a real deathcap should smell indistinct or 'unpleasant' when mature
