Habitat

Soil/leaf litter beneath oak amongst chestnut coppice

Notes

Scales easily rubbed off cap.

Faint/slow pink colouring on cutting

Other examples damaged by slugs on stem showed more prominent position pinkish colouring

Differentiators

Very bulbous base of stem

Lacking volva but obvious scales from universal veil

Pink when cut(turns slowly), more obvious on stem from slug damage

Similar to panthercap(false blusher) but the pamthercap doesn't change colour when cut
